Summary

A WIND TUNNEL TEST TECHNIQUE USING MOTION PHOTOGRAPHY AND NEUTRALLY BUOYANT HELIUM-FILLED TRACER BUBBLES HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO QUANTITATIVELY DETERMINE VENTILATION AIRFLOW RATES THROUGH SCALED MODELS OF BUILDINGS. THE TECHNIQUE CAN ALSO BE USED FOR THE QUALITATIVE EVALUATION OF AIRFLOW PATTERNS AND DISTRIBUTION INSIDE BUILDINGS.
