Evaluation of intratubular pressure drops where a single fluid is used. Mémofroid Sheet No. 26.

Estimation des pertes de pression intratubulaires avec un monofluide. Fiche mémofroid n. 26.

Author(s) : VRINAT G.

Type of article: Article

Summary

This article deals with friction-related pressure drops of a flow-related fluid (particularly refrigerant) in piping (linear pressure drops, pressure drops per unit length, or distributed pressure drops). It does not cover the following: singular pressure drops due to changes of direction, valves and all types of fittings, these pressure drops generally being taken into account using equivalent lengths; pressure drops due to geometric oscillations in level; pressure drops related to variations in the fluid flow rate (evaporation or condensation).
