Summary

Through the draft standards EN 12599 on "Building ventilation: testing procedures and measurement methods for testing ventilation and air-conditioning systems" has not become a standard yet, it provides useful guidelines for testing operations while waiting for the implementation of the standard UNI 5-032 III which, as required, has integrally included the text. The article (and others to follow) explain a series of significant points of the European draft standard so as to help the professionals in the sector become familiar with testing procedures by the time the standard is implemented. The functional controls and measurements required are detailed in part one, together with a few examples.
