Exergy analysis of metal hydride cooling systems.
Author(s) : ABRAHAM K., PRAKASH MAIYA M., SRINIVASA MURTHY S.
Summary
Exergy analysis of a four-bed metal hydride cooling system with heat and mass recovery is presented. The analysis reveals that the second law efficiency, output exergy and the input exergy strongly depend on the operating temperatures. An optimum operating condition exists at which the second law efficiency is maximum. The performance also depends on the temperature difference between the bed and the external thermal reservoir.
