Summary
A visual system with a capacity of 0.16 m3 was built in order to investigate cool storage with HCFC-141b hydrate as the cool storage medium. The experimental results indicate that agitation has a significant effect on the formation of gas hydrate. Even with the low super-cooling degree, the hydrate can be formed with continuous agitation. The cool storage capacity increases and the formation is easier with increasing flow or decreasing medium temperature. While spraying and the history of gas hydrate has little effect on the formation temperature and cool storage capacity.
