Summary

The cool accumulation with gas hydrates, suitable for the working mode of air conditioning, is one kind of the safe and high efficient energy storage technologies. In order to speed up the creation of HFC-134a gas hydrate, a new kind of injecting device was proposed to enhance the mixing and stirring for reactants. The experimental comparisons on two different cool accumulation operation modes with and without injecting loop, verify that the injecting ratio effects the supercooling degree and induction time for nucleation. When the injecting ratio is given in the range of 0.3-0.4, injecting loop can effectively reduce the nucleation supercooling degree by 1.5°C and shorten the creation time of hydrate by 20-30 minutes. The optimal injecting ratio is close to the mass ratio of hydrate forming gas materials. Further, the initial state of water also exerts an obvious influence on the supercooling degree and induction time for nucleation. In addition, the re-usage of hydrate formed water can reduce the nucleation time by 6-8 minutes and decrease the nucleation supercooling degree by 1-2°C for a new turn of gas hydrate forming.
