Summary

This study is part of a research project to investigate and develop passive ejector refrigeration using natural environmentally acceptable fluids. It shows that at low evaporator temperatures, the performance is superior to that of a water ejector refrigeration system and allows temperatures below the freezing point of water. Notes that a coefficient of performance of around 0.3 is possible at operating conditions achievable using low grade heat, such as solar energy and waste heat.
