ENHANCED EJECTOR REFRIGERATION CYCLES POWERED BY LOW GRADE HEAT. 1. SYSTEMS CHARACTERIZATION.

Author(s) : SOKOLOV M., HERSHGAL D.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

CONVENTIONAL AND IMPROVED EJECTOR REFRIGERATION CYCLES ARE DISCUSSED. SPECIAL EMPHASIS IS GIVEN TO THE ADAPTATION OF THESE CYCLES FOR THE UTILIZATION OF LOW GRADEHEAT. A COMPRESSION ENHANCED EJECTOR SYSTEM IS A MECHANICALLY EFFICIENT WAY TO IMPROVE THE EJECTOR CYCLE. IT IS DEMONSTRATED THAT A COMBINATION OF MECHANICAL AND THERMAL ENERGIES MAY PROVIDE A WIDE RANGE OF DESIGN ALTERNATIVES WHICH SHOULD YIELD A COMPETITIVE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.
