Summary

Cryogenics behaviour of supercritical helium (SHe) in the cooling circuit of the superconducting magnets caused by up to 1 MA plasma current and 100 s plasma discharges in EAST tokamak are studied. Higher plasma current and longer plasma durations take greater impact to the cooling circuit and cryogenic distribution system. 250 kA, 100 s plasma discharges took greater impact compared with 1 MA, 5 s plasma discharges to the helium cryogenic system at previous 7 experiment results. Generating, transferring, absorption process of pulsed heat turbulence of EAST cryogenic system is analyzed. Impacts to EAST cryogenic system including helium refrigerator and cryogenic distribution system due to continuous 100 s long pulse plasma discharges are studied. Smoothed methods of pulsed heat loads using liquid helium (LHe) buffer tank are analyzed based on the simulation results.
