Author(s) : SCALABRIN G., LA MONICA G.

Summary

THE AUTHORS PRESENT A TEST RIG FOR THE INNOVATORY SOLUTIONS ADOPTED IN AN INDUSTRIAL AIR-AIR HEAT PUMP, WITH A THERMAL CAPACITY OF ABOUT 130 KILOW, USED FOR HEATING AN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING. THE INNOVATIONS ARE: A. OPEN COMPRESSOR DRIVEN BY A VARIABLE SPEED ELECTRIC MOTOR ; B. FLOODED EVAPORATOR OPERATING AS A THERMOSIPHON ; C. VARIABLE SPEED FANS FOR THE CONDENSER AND THE EVAPORATOR ; D. HIGH PRESSURE EXPANSION VALVE WITH ELECTRONIC CONTROL ; E. OIL SEPARATION WITHOUT AN INTERMEDIARY EXCHANGER ; F. DEFROSTING BY HOT WATER FROM SUBCOOLING THE LIQUID REFRIGERANT.
