Experimental study of heat transfer in a vertical uniformly heated closed-end tube submerged in saturated liquid helium.
Author(s) : BAUDOUY B.
Summary
Heat transfer results in liquid helium natural boiling convection in a counter flow configuration are presented. The tests were performed with 10 and 14 mm inner diameter copper closed-end tubes connected to a liquid helium bath near atmospheric pressure. Critical heat flux and heat transfer coefficient are presented and compared with existing correlations.
