Summary

The setup of heat transfer and pressure drop of LiBr aqueous solution flowing in heat exchangers was established to perform an experimental study on the heat transfer and pressure drop of heat exchangers under the conditions of Re < 200 and large temperature difference. The heat transfer and pressure drop of LiBr-water solution in multi tube-in-tube heat exchanger and four samples of plate heat exchangers were tested. The effect of heat recovery from saturated refrigerant water into LiBr-water solution was verified experimentally for plate heat exchangers. Based on these data, Nusselt correlations were fitted to evaluate the mean heat transfer coefficient for LiBr aqueous solution in plate heat exchangers.
