THE THICKNESS OF CARBON TETRACHLORIDE LAYER ADSORBED ON PLANE SURFACES AT 273 K HAS BEEN EXPERIMENTALLY DETERMINED, AND THE DATA FITTED TO AN ALGEBRAIC EQUATION. A THEORETICAL ADSORPTION T-CURVE FOR CARBON TETRACHLORIDE WAS ALSO CALCULATED USING THE EQUATION DERIVED BY TERNAN. THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA AGREE REASONABLY WELL WITH THE THEORETICAL CURVE.
