Summary

Storage experiments were carried out during 1991-1993. Apples harvested at the end of September were put into PVC bags (0.1 millimeter thick). The bags, containing 15 kilogrammes of fruits and a bamboo tube (5 centimeters long) for air ventilation, tied at the neck, were stored in store rooms or caves where the temperature in mid-October was -1 to -2 deg C. Fruits kept well for 170-195 days.
