Summary
A proportion of recirculated air may be substituted for fresh outside ventilation air, where there are severe limitations on space, economy or in updating old plant. In order to bring this air up to "fresh" condition, it must pass through particulate and gas-phase filters. ASHRAE Standard 62-1989 provides a method of calculating the permitted proportions and specifies the limits of control of contaminants. A.R.T.
