Summary

THE IMPACT OF THE FIN/TUBE HEAT RESISTANCE ON THE OPERATING BEHAVIOUR OF AIR CONDITIONING HEAT EXCHANGERS WAS COMPUTED FOR A REPRESENTATIVE REFERENCE OBJECT IN CONSIDERATION OF THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS OF HEAT EXCHANGER CONSTRUCTION, LENGTH, CIRCUITRY, MODE OF OPERATION AND INTERNAL CONTAMINATION. THE CHARACTERISTIC VALUES DETERMINED AND A CLASSIFICATION OF THE FIN/TUBE CONNECTION GIVE GENERAL AND SPECIAL INFORMATION. TO MAINTAIN A 10% TOLERANCE LIMIT, AT LEAST ONE MECHANICALLY COMPLETE ATTACHMENT OF A GOOD QUALITY IS NECESSARY FOR THE SUBJECT. THE FUTURE TREND, HOWEVER, CALLS FOR ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS.
