Summary

Food odour dispersion from the residential unit to core is one of the problems in high-rise residential buildings. In this study, it was analyzed in terms of stack effect, and optimal air inflow of core was estimated along with the location of air inlet/outlet were suggested with a view to solving odour issues. A combined CFD (computational fluid dynamics) and CONTAMW analysis were used for stack effect of building, dispersion of food odour, optimal air inflow of core, and the location of air inlet/outlet in the method.
