Summary
In the past, fire prevention concepts have focussed mainly on preventing fire from spreading from one section to another. Preventive measures designed to stop of smoke spreading have only recently attracted enhanced attention. Time plays a significant role in fire fighting. It is therefore of cardinal importance to detect a fire as soon as possible and to set off a fire alarm.
