Forced convective film condensation inside vertical tubes.
Author(s) : CHEN S. L., KE M. T.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The authors propose a unified procedure for predicting the pressure gradient and the condensation heat transfer coefficient of a vapour flowing turbulently in the core and associated with laminar or turbulent film on the tube wall. They also propose a new eddy viscosity model which is divided into three regions: the inner region in liquid condensate near the wall; the interface region including both liquid and vapour; and the outer region for the vapour core.
