The maximal specific cooling power of a magnetocaloric refrigeration with a working body made of thin gadolinium plates at room temperature, with the frequency of thermodynamic cycles restricted by magnetic relaxation time, is estimated as P = 12,5 W/g in magnetic field 20 kOe.
