Magnetocaloric properties of ferromagnets in strong and weak magnetic fields in dynamic mode.

Summary
The adiabatic temperature change (?T) in polycrystalline compound Gd3Al2 and polycrystalline Gd have been measured in dynamic mode in magnetic fields up to 1.78 T (created by Halbach-type permanent magnet field source). The dynamic measurements were conducted in the temperature range from 78 K to 380 K and the field change rate of 1.5 T/s. Measurements in pulsed magnetic fields of 0.15 T were also made to confirm lower field dynamic measurements.
