THE ENERGY MEASUREMENTS MADE BY CEMAGREF ON AGROFOOD REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS SHOWED THAT HEAT LOADS FLUCTUATE, THE COMPRESSORS ARE RARELY RUN AT FULL CAPACITY AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION IS HIGH AT PEAK HOURS. HENCE THE INTEREST OF COLD STORAGE SYSTEMS. TWO COLD STORAGE SYSTEMS BEING TESTED ARE DESCRIBED, ONE WITH NODULES IMMERSED IN THEREFRIGERANT AND THE OTHER MADE UP OF A EUTECTIC PLATE WITH A COIL.
