Summary
THE SUPERCONDUCTING COIL CAN PRODUCE CONTINUOUSLY A MAGNETIC FIELD OF ABOUT 4 T, WHICH IS APPLIED TO THE DC DISCHARGE PLASMA. THE DEVICE CAN GENERATE A HIGHLY MAGNETIZED PLASMA WITH LITTLE WASTE OF ELECTRIC POWER. THIS PLASMA MAY BEUSED FOR THE MODEL EXPERIMENTS ON THE BEHAVIOUR OF PLASMA IN THE FUSION REACTOR AND FOR THE EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES OF THE PLASMA PHYSICS IN THE NEW REGION OF PLASMA PARAMETERS WHERE THE AVERAGED ION LARMOR RADIUS IS SMALLER THAN THE DEBYE LENGTH. THE AUTHORS EMPHASIZE THAT THE METHOD MENTIONED HERE MUST BE APPLIED TO THE LARGE SCALE PLASMA DEVICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. J.V.
