Summary

POINTS OUT THAT ALTHOUGH IT IS THE FUNCTION OF HVAC SYSTEMS TO MAINTAIN A GOOD THERMAL CLIMATE AND ACCEPTABLE AIR QUALITY, THE SYSTEMS THEMSELVES CAN ALSO BE THE CAUSE OF COMPLAINTS. MENTIONS SOME POSSIBLE CAUSES. POINTS OUT THAT IN ORDER TO MINIMISE THE RISK OF COMPLAINTS, A NUMBER OF REQUIREMENTS HAS TO BE MET ALONG THE ENTIRE CHAIN OF DESIGN, PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION, BALANCING COMMISSIONING, OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT. SUMMARISES RECOMMENDATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH OF THESE ASPECTS.
