Summary
The results of an experimental and theoretical investigation into heat and mass transfer with porous injection or suction on the surface in a flow are presented. The processes of heat and mass transfer on permeable surfaces when the cross flux of substance is induced by phase conversions (evaporation or condensation) and also by chemical reactions (heterogeneous or homogeneous combustion in a boundary layer) are studied on a general basis. The general trends in these processes and their specific features are revealed.
