Summary
This article presents several mathematical models for calculating frost layer parameters, based on the literature. The layer occurs when moist air comes in contact with a wall below 0 °C. As an example, an air cooler is chosen from a catalogue and its efficiency is calculated using two different models presented earlier. Calculations are made for three different air temperature and humidity ratios. The results are used to estimate the influence of air parameters on frost accumulation velocity and air cooler efficiency. Final results are compared and estimated.
