Summary
Results are studied, of heat-exchange tests involving the condensation on the surface of experimental tubes, of pure substances, as well as of mixtures with incondensable gases. A test rig is described, which is used for studying the condensation process on a tube immersed in a granular layer. Test results are given, and their analysis shows that the presence of a granular layer close to the surface of vertical and horizontal tubes intensifies the vapour-condensation process. C.C.
