HEAT PIPES WERE STUDIED IN APPLICATIONS TO ISOTHERMAL ELEMENTS, HEAT SINKS FOR AUDIO INSTRUMENTS, SNOW MELTING, SOLAR HOT WATER SYSTEMS, AND COMPACT HEAT EXCHANGERS FOR WITHDRAWING EXHAUST HEAT. THEIR HEAT TRANSFER ELEMENTS HAVE HIGH HEAT CONDUCTIVITY, AS WELL AS A HIGHLY EFFICIENT HEAT EXCHANGER, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE FLUID DOESN'T UNDERGO A PHASE CHANGE WITH LOW PRANDTL NUMBER. IN THE REPORT ARE MENTIONED SOME GENERAL PROPERTIES OF HEAT PIPES, AND T-COIL HEAT PIPE HEAT EXCHANGERS, AND ALSO SOME STUDIES AND APPLICATIONS OF HEAT PIPES.
