THE PAPER PRESENTS A SIMULATION MODEL OF A HEAT PUMP OPERATING UNDER FROSTING CONDITIONS. THE MODEL CONSISTS OF A REFRIGERATION SIMULATOR, A FROST FORMATION SIMULATOR, ANDA FAN CHARACTERISTIC SIMULATOR. THE SIMULATION RESULTS WERE COMPARED WITH EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OF A PROTOTYPE HEAT PUMP OPERATING UNDER ACTUAL FROSTING CONDITIONS. THE SIMULATION RESULTS WERE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS.
