The article deals with the description, history of realization and performance evaluation of a heat pump system with a nominal heating output of 700 kW that heats the New University Hall at VŠB (TU Ostrava). Ten ground-water heat pumps use the low-potential heat transported from 110 boreholes with an average depth of 140 m.
