Summary

Heat transfer and momentum are studied, under free and laminar convection, in a channel made of two parallel flat plates. Compared with the channel entrance, the plates are first adiabatic in the upper part, then heated by flux of constant densities. The numerical model proposed makes it possible to deal with the cases for which the flux densities imposed on each of the heated walls are equal or different, and to study the effect of the length of the non-heated wall on changes in temperature and in fluid speed inside the channel.
