Summary

The heat transfer of silver-sheathed tapes was studied. It is shown that the composite tape thickness (0.3-1.6 mm) influences the heat transfer coefficients during nucleate boiling and the characteristics of the boiling crises. It is shown that the composite tape may be cooled effectively if only part of its surface is wetted with liquid coolant.
