HEAT TRANSFER IN PARALLEL FLOW SPIRAL TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS.
Author(s) : MIELCZAREK Z. A., NOWAKOWSKI S., TROJANOWSKI T. J.
Summary
IN THE RESULT OF COMPARISON ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT TYPES SPIRAL TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS, PARALLEL FLOW TYPE WAS SELECTED. HEAT TRANSFER CALCULATIONS ARE BASED ON MODEL INVESTIGATION THEY REQUIRED TO BUILD 6 MODELS OF HEAT EXCHANGERS, EACH WITH DIFFERENT TUBE SPACING IN THE LAYERS AND SHOWED THAT THE COEFFICIENT OF HEAT TRANSFER MUCH DIFFERS THAT CALCULATED FROM EQUATION VALID FOR CYLINDRICAL SPACE. THE CONSTANT COEFFICIENT IN THIS EQUATION WAS CORRECTED TO ENABLE CALCULATIONS OF HEAT TRANSFER IN THE SHELL-TUBE SPACE OF THE HEAT EXCHANGER.
