Summary

The paper reports on a study of heat transfer on cold frosting surfaces in humid air flow. A simple method of calculation is developed in order to obtain the trend of heat and mass transfer and of the parameters of the frost as a function of time. The calculated data are compared with some experimental values obtained by tests carried out on a cold cylindrical surface in humid air cross flow.
