Summary

The article describes the behaviour of a generator, thanks to monitoring of radial and axial temperatures and the evolution of adsorbate filling times during adsorption-evaporation and desorption-condensation phases of the cycle. The effect of kinetics of heat and mass transfer in the generator on phase times, and thus on the performance of the plant, is demonstrated. The authors propose a model making it possible, by resolution of equations of heat and diffusion, to simulate the mass sorbed and temperatures in the generator. Modelling is validated by a few experimental results.
