DOUBLE GLAZING IS AVAILABLE WITH HEAT TRANSMISSION COEFFICIENTS OF 1.6 AND EVEN 1.4 W/M2.K. WITH SUCH GLAZING, THERMAL COMFORT CAN BE REALIZED WITHOUT ANY STATIC HEATING ELEMENT. AN ALTERNATIVE BASED ON LINEAR WINDOW DIFFUSERS IS PRESENTED. THIS DIFFUSER IS INSTALLED NEAR OR IN THE FALSE CEILING ABOVE THE WINDOW AND WILL SUPPLY THE AIR HORIZONTALLY INTO THE ROOM. THE AIR DIFFUSION PATTERNS AND THE RESULTING THERMAL COMFORT WILL BE DISCUSSED WHEN WARM AIR OR COLD AIR IS SUPPLIED INTO THE ROOM.
