Summary
Aims to guide the reader towards good practice, so that when an air handling unit is installed, it will perform in accordance with expectations. The components most commonly utilised within air handling units are dealt with individually and a list of do's and don'ts distilled from many years of experience are provided under each heading. Fans are not covered specifically. Section headings are: selection of air handling units, air filters, humidifiers, variable duty fans, coils, gas fired units, noise and vibration, local system effects, installation and commissioning instructions, maintenance requirements. An appendix deals with typical steam pipework arrangements.
