HIGH PRESSURE OIL SEPARATION IN COMPOUND COMPRESSORS.

LA SEPARATION D'HUILE DE HAUTE PRESSION DANS LE COMPRESSEUR BIETAGE.

Author(s) : CEJKA Z.

Summary

SEVERAL DIFFERENT TYPES OF OIL SEPARATORS WERE DEVELOPED WITH A VIEW TO LIMITING OIL CONSUMPTION. THE SEPARATORS WORK ON THE PRINCIPLE OF SEPARATING THE OIL FROM THE LIQUID REFRIGERANT CONDENSED IN A CONDENSER. THE SEPARATED OIL, WITH SOME OF THE REFRIGERANT, IS USED ADVANTAGEOUSLY FOR THE THROTTLING IN THE FLASH INTERCOOLER OF A COMPOUND COMPRESSOR. OIL CONSUMPTION WAS REDUCED BY 50 TO 70 %.
