Summary

THE CRYOLESION OF KIDNEY RESULTED IN WELL DEMARCATED LESIONS WITH A MINIMUM INFLAMMATORY REACTION DURING THE PERIOD OF CELL BREAKDOWN AND OF RECOVERY BY FIBROSIS. CELL PROTEINS ARE COMPLETELY COAGULATED WITHIN ONE HOUR AFTER CRYOLESION WITH CRYSTALLISATION OF PROTEINS AND MEMBRANE RUPTURE. CELL BURSTING IS RAPID AND THE REMOVAL OF CELL SCRAPS FROM THE LESION AREA BY THE INFILTRATION OF MACROPHAGES IS AFFECTED BY A VERY SLIGHT INFLAMMATORY REACTION. (Bull. CNRS, FR., 82-355-717.
