Summary

Humidity regulation in commercial refrigerators involves re-evaporation from the cooler fins during the compressor off-cycle. According to the test results in the prefabricated commercial refrigerator (area 28 m2), it was made clear that the evaporation quantity from the fins during off-cycle reaches 50-70% of the condensing water quantity during compressor on-cycle. Applying this test results, a new calculating method to regulate the designed humidity for a humidifier was developed.
