THE AUTHOR DISCUSSES CHILLED WATER CIRCUITS WITH A VIEW TO THE DESIGN OF LARGE SYSTEMS WITH GOOD CONTROL AND MINIMUM ENERGY REQUIREMENTS. VARIOUS FORMS OF CONTROL ARE ANALYSED TOGETHER WITH VARIOUS RECOGNISED PUMPING ARRANGEMENTS. THE SYSTEM ARRIVED AT USES A PRIMARY/SECONDARY PUMPING ARRANGEMENT WITH THE ADDITION OF CHILLER CIRCUIT PUMPS AND A CHILLER BYPASS WHICH MAY INCLUDE THERMAL STORAGE. THE SYSTEM DOES NOT LOOK ECONOMIC BUT THE AUTHOR'S ARGUMENTS ARE CONVINCING. D.W.H.
