ICE RINK REFRIGERATION.
Author(s) : HUNT J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE ARTICLE DISCUSSES THE REFRIGERATION REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETE ICE RINK INSTALLATIONS. AS THE AIR-CONDITIONING OF SPECTATOR AND OTHER SOCIAL USE AREAS MAY REQUIRE MORE REFRIGERATION, THOUGH AT A HIGHER TEMPERATURE, THAN THE RINK ITSELF, THE INTEGRATED DESIGN OF ALL SYSTEMS IS ESSENTIAL FOR MINIMUM ENERGY USE. COOLING LOADS ARE DETAILED, TOGETHER WITH POSSIBLE HEAT RECOVERY AREAS. THE PRINCIPLES OF RINK HALL AIR DISTRIBUTION ARE ALSO OUTLINED. D.W.H.
