Summary
THE PAPER PRESENTS THE RESULTS OF AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF HEAT TRANSFER AND HYDRAULIC RESISTANCE FOR THE BUNDLES OF HELICAL TUBES IN LONGITUDINAL AND CROSS FLOW. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING THESE TUBES IN HEAT EXCHANGE EQUIPMENT IS ANALYZED. IT IS SHOWN THAT HELICAL TUBES PERMIT AN APPRECIABLE INCREASE IN HEAT TRANSFER AND A SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION OF THE HEAT EXCHANGER DIMENSIONS.
