Summary
This paper presents a case study of indoor air quality for schools in Latvia according Europe normative 13779:2007. The paper summarizes the possible future scenarios for Latvian schools ventilation according to indoor air quality categories from IDA1 to IDA4 taking into account the specifics of Latvian schools. The demand of ventilation was analyzed according to a number of students in regions and biggest cities of Latvia as well as demographic analysis situation in the state during the last 10 years. The topicality of the paper are the plans made by the Latvian Ministry of Education to change from 2012 the layout of the school year, and shorten the school summer vacation.
