Summary
Labour costs can be 10 to 100 times greater per m2 of office space than energy and other environmental control costs. In the US, the per employee productivity loss attributable to IAQ problems is estimated at 3% (14 minutes/day) and 0.6 added sick days annually. Concludes that actions to improve IAQ where productivity is a concern are certain to be cost effective, even if expensive. Lists a variety of factors which can be used as indicators of effects on productivity.
