Summary

The book includes the proceedings of the International Conference on "Indoor climate of buildings/Indoor air quality in Central and Eastern Europe", which was held in 1992 and which was co-sponsored by the Slovak Society of Environmental Technology (SSTP) and Indoor Air International (IAI). The papers included cover several aspects of indoor environment, such as: policy, legislation and standards; physical agents (heat, lighting, aerosol, and electric and magnetic fields); chemical pollutants (radon, formaldehyde, biological contaminants, asbestos, tobacco smoke, odours, and toxic substances); building construction and materials; and heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
