Summary

These two volumes include the papers presented during a conference on thermal comfort held in Milan in March 1992. Most of the papers are published in Italian; some are published in English, French or German, depending on the authors' language. In the first session, the possibilities of saving energy and of using it rationally were studied for several European countries: Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, England, and Switzerland. In the second session, the reports deal notably with technological innovations in the field of thermal comfort: quality of cooling equipment, air quality in confined spaces, gas air-conditioning, new refrigerants, etc. The third session focuses more particularly on the different European markets, and the fourth on energy management in buildings.
