Refers to the New En Route Centre project on the South Coast which comprises a new air traffic control centre for the Civil Aviation Authority. Greater emphasis was put on indoor microclimate conditions within the operations room which is the heart of the Centre. Presents a case study which demonstrates the use of computation fluid-dynamics as a practical tool to foresee the likely consequences of design decisions before installation.
