Summary

DATA ARE GIVEN FOR OPTIMAL DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF INDUCTION UNITS BELOW WINDOWS SILLS OF OFFICES TO OBTAIN GOOD THERMAL COMFORT. THE COOLING CAPACITY IN RELATION TO THE FLOOR SPACE SHOULD BE LESS THAN 60-70 WATTS/M2. THE NOMINAL AIR RATE VARIES, DEPENDING ON SIZE, BETWEEN 1.5 TO 3.5 CHANGES PER HOUR. IF HIGHER COOLING POWER OF UP TO 100 WATTS/M2, IS NECESSARY, POWER JETS IN THE CEILING OR INDUCTION UNITS WITH VARIABLE SUPPLY AIR RATES SHOULD BE USED. MAXIMUM AIR VELOCITIES ARE LOWER THAN THE LIMITS GIVEN IN DIN 1946/2.
