Innovative developments on heat pumps in both heat and cold production.
Innovatieve warmtepompen voor warmte- en koudeproductie.
Author(s) : SPOELSTRA S., PENNARTZ A. M. G.
Type of article: Article
Summary
In addition to the nowadays widely applied compression heat pumps, there are more principles with interesting performance on which a heat pump can be designed. Two of these principles were developed at the authors' company, based on a solid adsorption system and a thermoacoustic system. The article describes the operating principle and application of these concepts as heat pump and refrigerating machines. Both systems have unique properties that lead to low maintenance costs and a wide range of applications in both heat and cold production.
